Senator Fatima Payman, has quit the Labor party to become an independent Senator for WA, declaring “I see no middle ground, and my conscience leaves me no choice.”

This follows Senator Payman’s indefinite suspension from Labor’s Federal Parliamentary Caucus after crossing the floor for a two-solution motion for the conflict in Palestine, and defying her party’s rules.
