Australians from the Bush would know about “the mission.” It was usually located on the outskirts of a town, near water and run by a church. It was for Aboriginal people especially children. Few outsiders would know of the psychological and emotional trauma suffered in these places. The resilence of Aborginal people and their language under such trying conditions will be examined at the an exhibition on the Deebing Creek Industrial Mission.
