In what could be the final blow to Guantanamo detainee David Hicks, the UK Government has refused to pressure the US for his release. The British foreign office said they made the decision based on the grounds that he was arrested while travelling on an Australia passport. Hicks’ father Terry spoke to Sophie Gyles about his dismay at the decision. David Hicks’ Australian lawyer David McLeod outlined David’s legal options from here.
