Thirty one shipping containers full of the explosive ammonium nitrate went missing in the stormy seas off the east coast last night. The containers broke loose from a Hong Kong owned vessel carrying cargo from Newcastle to Brisbane. Assistant National Secretary of the Maritime Union of Australia, Mick Doleman says the incident shows the need to get Australian owned and manned ships back on domestic routes.
