The Dalai Lama has announced he is stepping down as political leader of the Tibetan government-in-exile. He will pass his power onto the next Tibetan prime minister, who is due to be elected on March 20th. His holiness will remain the spiritual head of the Tibetan people and will continue to work on resolving the issue with China.
