Cyclone Marcus leaves Darwin without power or water

Many Darwin residents have been left without power and water over the weekend as the Top End recovers from the category 2 Cyclone Marcus.

Schools have been used as shelters and are now still closed due to destruction and debris as well as unsafe drinking water.

Northern Territory Chief Minister Michael Gunner, said that the cyclone is a “wake up call” to Territorians.
