With eight seats hanging in the balance a hung Federal parliament is a real possibility. During the election campaign both major parties were careful to distance themselves from both smaller parties and independents. Now courting season is likely to begin with both parties turning on the charm and competing for the support of crossbenchers. While putting a lot of pressure on those politicians it will also lead to more public discussion of policy.
