Criminalisation of disputes threatening foreign investment

The Indonesian Attorney-General’s office has been accused of criminalising commercial disputes. A series of cases charging employees of multinational companies with corruption have caused calls for change in the Indonesian justice system. Last week, a ruling against an employee of Chevron was upheld by the Indonesia Supreme Court, following a dispute between Chevron and the Indonesian government about a clean-up project. So, are these corruption charges verified? And what affect are they having on foreign investment?
