The ability to download a gun design from the internet and then print it out on a 3D printer may sound like something from a movie, but it is quickly becoming reality. 3D printed guns formed part of the discussion during a Senate inquiry in Sydney today about gun-related violence in Australia. While not yet prevalent in Australia, the inquiry hopes to give law enforcement agencies the tools to address the issue should it become a concern.
