Could cows milk be the latest HIV vaccination to hit the market? Recent research from the University of Melbourne has found that cows can produce antibodies that could assist in the prevention of HIV transmission. Cows cannot contract HIV and are considered as one of the most efficient systems for producing proteins and antibodies.

With the involvement of biotechnology company, Immuron Ltd, the research aims to develop a cream which could be applied, before and after intercourse, or even used as an ongoing preventative treatment.
