Newly appointed Minister for Education, Senator Simon Birmingham, has suggested the Government may be willing to compromise on parts of their university deregulation policy, stating he isn’t “wedded to the idea” after it was rejected by the senate… twice. So can the government change parts of the policy to make the senate happy, or is thie deregulation policy a lost cause?
