New figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics show that house prices in Sydney grew 14% last year. Also, a survey found out that 13 per cent of first home buyers are thinking outside the box, and buy an investment property in an affordable place and rent in their desired suburb. This strategy is called ‘rentvesting’, and it could be an option to start in the market. Could this strategy help the housing affordability problem in Australia?
