The coalition government has celebrated a projected increase in the savings that the average Australian household can make under the National Energy Guarantee. This forecasted increase has risen from $400 a year to $550 and is expected to reach Australian pockets sometime in the 2020’s if states and territories can agree to the federal policy.

But, it is also good to be mindful of the costs that come with trying to implement savings in the energy sector – especially when the policy can have the same devastating effect as a drought within the agriculture sector.
