Labor leaders in New South Wales and federally are scrambling to distance themselves from former NSW Labor Ministers Eddie Obeid and Ian McDonald, after the state’s anti-corruption commission found the pair had engaged in corrupt behaviour.
The report, handed down today by the Independent Commission Against Corruption’s David Ipp, has recommended the senior ALP figures, and Obeid’s son Moses, be charged with criminal conduct.The Prime Minister says they should face the full force of the law, but will the Labor mud stick to Kevin Rudd as he heads towards an election?
