Hotel quarantine exemptions have been granted to individuals such as diplomats however the process to have those exemptions granted is becoming murkier.

Now, Hollywood actors, celebrities and the Diplomatic community benefit from avoiding state-run hotel quarantine by isolating at a place of their own choosing.

With an increase in calls for more transparency around the process and stricter infection control, The Wire reporter Tanita Razaghi asked Australia epidemiologist Dr. Mary-Louise McLaws what has changed to allow these exemptions in our quarantine regime.
