The coral reef at Lord Howe Island, the world’s most southern reef, has started to show signs of bleaching.
Researchers documented the bleaching over March and found that some locations have suffered up to levels of 90%. The bleaching has been a direct result of rising sea temperature levels, which have been rising due to the effects of climate change.
