Coptic Christians respond to Palm Sunday bombings in Egypt

A state of emergency has been declared in Egypt after 44 people were killed and hundreds more injured in two bomb attacks on Sunday. The attacks targeted the Christian Coptic community celebrating Palm Sunday in the lead up to Easter.

Egypt’s President Abdul Fattah el-Sisi has ordered military deployments across the country in response. However, members of the Christian Coptic community in Australia say this is not enough.
