Wild dogs attacking livestock is an ongoing issue for rural Australia and good conditions in recent months have led to an increased threat. Peak Industry Body, Wool Producers, is calling on the Federal Government to help fund a national strategy to beef up current pest control measures, but animal welfare groups say existing methods such as trapping and poison-baiting are inhumane.
