Consultation process for NT amendments criticised as faulty

Although the Racial Discrimination Act will not be reinstated by the end of Parliament this week, the Government has promised to submit amendments to the intervention legislation. This could pave the way for the RDA to be reinstated next year, if the amendments make the intervention compliant with the act. But some have criticised the consultations that the amendments are likely to be based on.
