Talk of a the federal government’s construction stimulus plan has been welcomed by the building sector however, many fear that the stimulus package will fail to help those who need it most.
The Community Housing Industry and National Shelter has argued that the package must focus on building and renovating social housing.
Through this they argue that the building industry is stimulated and Australia’s homeless population is supported.
But will the government endorse this perspective?
