Confusion over legal barriers for organisers of consumer boycotts

Organisers of consumer boycott campaigns can sleep a little easier as a result of a recent ruling of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, or ACCC. However, the ACCC’s ruling didn’t rule out future investigations, and some activist organisations are worried that the threat of action by the ACCC may discourage people from organising boycotts in the future.
