The Wire

While we are hearing many stories of people who have been affected by the bushfires, spare a thought for those living and working in their local communities and reporting on the fires at their community radio station. Gippsland FM is situated in Morwell, Victoria, just a few kilometres from where fires are still burning…and their volunteers have been working around the clock to get the right information out to their listeners … with many transmitters – including the ABC’s taken out, Gippsland FM was in fact the only station on the air at the heart of the fires.
