Community Radio Engagement Project facilitates access to NDIS
The National Ethnic Disability Alliance (NEDA) in partnership with the National Disability Insurance Agency and the National Ethnic and Multicultural Broadcasters’ Council (NEMBC) is launching a new campaign initiative to provide help and support for Australians with disabilities in migrant, refugee and humanitarian entrants’ communities, who have high level needs to access the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
The Community Radio Engagement Project will run for 12 weeks with the aim of raising awareness on service accessibility and eliminating disability stigma and discrimination.
All community radio stations are invited to participate through transmitting 40 second advertisements, 2-minute short story podcasts and interviews with the project’s ambassadors in six different languages.
