Self-described “pick up artist” Julien Blanc has ruffled a few feathers in the past week, and thrust issues surrounding the mistreatment of women and rape culture into the spotlight. Rape culture is a culture in which sexual violence is considered the norm – in which people aren’t taught not to rape, but are taught not to be raped.
