Community broadcasting to benefit from proposed media reforms

The Government’s media reform proposal is set to be approved by the Senate, after a compromise with Nick Xenophon that will see $60 million go towards regional and small publishers including community broadcasting.

While the reforms are likely to concentrate Australia’s media ownership even further, it is an opportunity for smaller organisations to plug the gaps.
