According to the Australian consortium ‘The Cane Toad Coalition’,  Cane Toads are invading at 50km per year across Northern Australia.

They stated that Australia will never eradicate toads and killing single toads has little overall conservation effect due to high reproductive rates as a female cane toad can hatch up to 30,000 eggs per clutch twice a year.

The group in partnership with the Bunuba people one of the traditional owners of the southern West Kimberley, in Western Australia they came up with a new strategy that does not involve the culling of Cane Toads.
