Every year over 2000 Australians commit suicide. Approximately 80 per cent of those people are men. In response to these frightening statistics, a National Forum on Male Suicide commenced in Sydney today. The forums conveners are hoping chart a way forward for improvement and change and increase awareness about this issue. Dr Michael Dudley, Chair of Suicide Prevention Australia, spoke with about the scale of the suicide problem in Australia, along with the National Director of counselling serrvice Mensline, Terry Melvin.
