The debate is raging in the Senate over whether to pass Kevin Rudd’s economic stimulus package. But the real negotiations are happening behind the scenes, with the Greens wanting more environmentally friendly measures and Family First Senator Steve Fielding after 4 billion dollars for community employment projects. The Coalition, are refusing to negotiate with the PM, but the pressure is on because Kevin Rudd has now linked the package so strongly to the bushfires.
