Coalition refuses to back down on auto-manufacturing cuts

Sparks were flying on both sides of politics today and Australia’s car manufacturing industry was caught in the middle of it.

The second day of parliament for 2012 was all about jobs. The Coalition re-asserted it’s plans to cut $500,000,000 of funding to the car manufacturing industry if elected, a move which has implications for Australia’s wider manufacturing industry. The Opposition’s announcement prompted responses from Government figures, union members and political commentators on all sides.
