The coal seam gas industry has been under fire from farmers, communities, and environmental groups. Now the coal seam gas industry might set up close to national parks. Dart Energy is about to start drilling an exploration well near World Heritage Wollemi National Park in New South Wales to Sydney’s west. The community in Putty is concerned about the environmental impact the coal seam gas industry can have on the area, but Dart Energy says this is only one exploration well and it has to be taken one step at the time.
