The Queensland election result is still in the balance, but some claims surrounding the coal mines in the Galillee basin made during the campaign appear to have little basis in reality. Numerically inclined researchers can only find 9,000 jobs at most rather than the 27,000 claimed to boost the Queensland economy. Today’s anti-corruption conference in Brisbane also revealed some friendly mining company donations for a candidate in the seat of Ashgrove
