Gambling venues have launched a major offensive against the governments planned poker machine reforms. A major plank of Independent MP Andrew Wilkie’s 3 billion dollar reform is the introduction of technology which would force players to commit to how much they were going to spend beore being able to play. The President of Clubs Australia Peter Newell addressed the press Club in Canberra and delivered a broadside against the plan , saying it will have a huge impact on business.
