On Thursday, the Closing Loopholes Bill 2023 passed Senate, with support from Labour, the Greens and independents including Lidia Thorpe and David Pocock.
The bill makes changes to casual conversion rights, right to disconnect and right of entry, following more than 100 amendments.
The changes have been described as controversial, with Senator Lambie saying the right to disconnect is “unnecessary”.

Olivia Bui speaks to Dr. Jim Stanford, Director of the Centre for Future Work, based at the Australia Institute, about what the bill could mean.
