China launches a manned space mission today, marking their fifth mission since 2003. This mission will be China’s longest one to date, sending three astronauts, two men and one woman, into space to orbit the Earth for 15 days.

Once in orbit, the craft will dock at a trial space laboratory module, and the three astronauts will carry out various experiments and test the module’s systems.Zoe Ferguson spoke to experts in the field about today’s mission, and she started by asking Lawrence Krauss what’s the biggest motive in China’s mission today.
