A group of doctors has said same-sex marriage will be damaging to children’s health. In a submission to the Senate inquiry into marriage equality, the group Doctors for the Family argue children who grow up with both a mother and a father “do better in all parameters”.

The statement has been widely condemned including by the peak body for medical practitioners the Australian Medical Association.And siblings Maeve Marsden and Rowan Savage who grew up with same-sex parents, say statements like this are hurtful and untrue.
