Would child care workers get paid the same as supermarket workers if they were all men? Their union says no. United Voice has lodged a case with Fair Work Australia to give it’s members a pay rise of ten dollars an hour.

United Voice says Australia’s 68,000 child care workers should be paid the same amount as other employees with similar skills.Last month the federal government created a 300 million dollar early education fund, which the union says is a good start.
