Many child abuse cases are ignored because of the Family Court says child abuse expert Professor Frieda Briggs. She says the state departments won’t investigate when the Family Court has given one parent custody, and that in many cases children are taken from their mother and given to an abusing father because the court is particularly receptive to a psychological thoery that she says is outdated and discredited.
