The Australian federal Police today announced that another paedophile ring had been busted – eleven men from four states will face charges of possessing, distributing and producing images of children being abused . This case was different to the usual cases. The men had been able to stay under the radar by using a file-sharing network. AFP Commander Grant Edwards says police were able to access it because they now work internationally in the tracking down of offenders. Associate Professor Leah Bromfield, deputy director of the Centre for Child Protection, says the internet has changed the game completely when it comes to child pornography.
