Two-thousand Centrelink employees will lose their jobs in the next financial year to achieve budget savings demanded by the Rudd Government. The Government agency currently provides financial support to almost a quarter of the population and its budget will now be cut by at least one-hundred and fifty million dollars. With such massive funding and job cuts, there are now fears that the neediest people in the community will be overlooked.
