Recently attempts were made to ban the French films Irreversible and Anatomy of Hell. Although the appeals against both films were rejected by the Classification Review Board it has reignited the censorship debate in Australia. Prominent anti-censorship campiagner Margaret Pomeranz talked to Jay Lamey about why she was so heartened by the decision to allow the films to keep screening in Australia.
