NAIDOC celebration continues around Australia this week as we recognise the culture, history and arts of our First Nation People. Today in Adelaide, the Tandanya Hall held the Women Work art exhibition showcasing the great painting of Indigenous women. Performing arts programme coordinator, Sam Nona, says that this event has brought people of Adelaide together to appreciate the Indigenous arts and culture. This year’s NAIDOC celebration is hosted by the Gold Coast Indigenous community however, somewhere along the grapevine has dished out that Adelaide is expected to host next year’s NAIDOC week.
