Recent research from the Diversity Council of Australia reveals how culturally and racially marginalised (CARM) women experience discrimination at work, locking them out of leadership roles.

Two thirds of the participants felt they had to act white to get ahead.

Often workplace gender equity initiatives fail to consider the different life experiences and needs of women, not giving all women the opportunity of a leadership role.
