The Australian Coal Association has begun rolling out an advertising campaign in selected regions around Australia. They’re targeting regions where they claim job losses could occur, and one of those regions is the Hunter Valley in New South Wales. Among the people who live in the region there’s a mixture of fear and hope, depending on who you ask. Julia Gillard made a bee-line for the coal country north of Sydney today in a pre-emptive strike on the advertising campaign.
