Energy Safe Victoria is launching an advertising campaign labelling carbon monoxide poisoning as a ‘silent killer’. The campaign is fronted by Vanessa and Scott Robinson whose sons, aged nine and seven, died in their sleep in 2010 of carbon monoxide poisoning from an unmaintained gas appliance in their Victorian home. Vanessa Robinson also recently worked with a federal MP to introduce a private member’s bill to make carbon monoxide detectors in Australian homes mandatory.
