The Treasurer Joe Hockey was attempting to draw attention to the government keeping of a promise to crackdown on foreign investment in real estate today, but finished up managing to draw attention to his own reputation as someone out of touch with ordinary Australians who want to buy their own home. When questioned about the housing bubble, The Treasurer insisted housing in Sydney was affordable and if people want to access the housing market they simply need to get a better job.
