Canberra’s celebrating a very special milestone today; it’s been one hundred years since the designers of Australia’s capital city were announced. But now Canberra is considering how it can spruik up its image and remove the boring label, as well as move towards a more sustainable future.

David Flannery is a Lecturer in Architecture at the University of Canberra. He believes that Canberra is not boring and supports a new plan to make Canberra more sustainable and more vibrant. Professor Stephen Dovers, the man heading the campaign to alter Canberra’s image believes that the city has a lot of potential and could become an experiment for sustainable development.
