At the University of Western Sydney students are in an uproar about podcast classes replacing face-to-face lectures. The subject at the heart of the controversy is “Texts and Traditions”, a humanities subject that was recently restructured, losing 5 face to face lectures to podcasting. UWS student union President Steven Smith calls the decision ‘arbitrary’ and says that a supplementary system would be better.
