Democrats Senator Andrew Bartlett last night launched his campaign to make Indigenous issues a much greater priority in political and public debate. Held at Brisbane’s Kangaroo Point, three Aboriginal speakers attended the event to highlight how equality of opportunity can be achieved by Indigenous Australians. Among the speakers was prominent Indigenous leader Tiga Bayles. He told The Wire what issues he raised at the campaign launch.
