Calls for domestic violence laws need to be streamlined

Our legal system is often faced with the challenge of protecting victims and protecting the legal rights of the accused when it comes to domestic violence. It’s not helped by the fact that each state’s legislation in Australia has its own take on the matter. In 2010 there was a national review of family violence laws conducted by the Australian Law reform commission. There are now calls for the issue to be looked at again.
