According to NRMA data, outback roads are still the most dangerous areas for our wildlife. The research, which involved looking at the insurer’s claims for animal-related collisions, found that kangaroos are the animal most likely to be hit.

Dogs, cats, wombats and cattle were also common victims of crashes.Although the research showed increases in animal-collisions right across the country, New South Wales had more than double the amount of claims as any other state, with a rise of 12 per cent on the previous year.
